Why York University?
York University stands as a leading institution among Canadian universities. While searching for the ideal marketing program in Canada to help me grow my agency, I discovered the 'Digital and Content Marketing Program' at York University. So I gave it a 'click' and that click marked the beginning of a great journey.
First, friends recommended studying in Canada, and I had heard of York University before. Still, wasn't aware that it offered a Digital and Content Marketing Program. After careful consideration and several key factors, I chose York University for my studies in Canada.
My experience as a Student at York School of Continuing Studies.
What I like the most here is that the courses are regularly updated with the latest trends and best methods of digital marketing and the digital age. This program covers it all if you want to be an expert in Digital Marketing.
- Campus - The campus is Amazing, huge, and spacious, giving you a huge desire to study and work within it. It has many spaces for entertainment, studying, and places to hang out, read, or work.
- Tuition - The tuition fees of my program were competitive with other universities, it was not cheap but a fair price. I could say York University has well-priced programs.
- Location - The University is ideally situated in a great location in the heart of GTA, providing easy access to anywhere in the city. With its own TTC station directly on campus, transferring to and from the university is incredibly easy, no matter where you live in the city.
- Course - The thing I love the most about York University is that the program I'm attending is extremely updated in REAL TIME by the latest trends in the market. So whatever you learn here today, you're ready to put it in the work as the latest trend, so that helped me with my Production Agency clients and kept me updated.
- Class / Building - The Classes are amazing, and spacious, with natural light, and huge windows, the building of the School of Continues Studies was new and everything felt very TECH, classes are designed in a way that makes you want to study and pay attention. The tables are big and the chairs are very comfortable. There’s also the parking building in case you use your car for transport which is located close to the course building of the School of Continues Studies. The spacious tables and large chairs offer great comfort during your class.
- Academic Staff - Teachers are very supportive and most of them love what they do. I suffer from a lack of attention. I lose focus easily, and in the last course I took, the professor was so engaged during the class, from moving around class, asking questions, and sharing personal experiences, so I've never in my life been more focused on a lesson than his class. So don't hesitate to ask professors questions about your class or even professional-related questions, they are a true help.
- Course Website - The design of Moodle and the main York website are very well designed. It's well-organized, and clear and makes it easy to find the information you need.
Most of my experience at York University has been quite good except for failing one of the classes, with most of it being my fault. I had to find out the hard way that neglecting some of the projects might cost you a lot of time and money, a lesson well learned.
Classmates are kind, you get to meet people and hear stories from all over the world and make unique contacts ( don’t miss this opportunity )
My advice for future students.
I'd recommend everyone to take the courses, lessons, and studying seriously when they start studying, every minute here is worth the attention as it truly helps you be very good at the field you are studying.
Start exploring the campus, the campus is great and full of life, there are so many things to do and explore. On campus, you'll find plenty of good spots to enjoy your free time with friends, along with amazing libraries that provide a great environment for studying and working on your class projects.
Take note of the best lessons you learn during the course. You will need them to be well prepared for a competitive market ahead.
Be ready to work in teams, many projects are in teamwork and require you to do your best as a team to shine, not every project is individual, so be ready to work as a team.
Pay attention to the E-mails, every important announcement from every professor is communicated by email so you have to check it often for any upcoming updates.
In the end, my journey at York University School of Continuing Studies has been very rewarding for me. The digital marketing program combines theory and practice, equipping me with the knowledge i need to succeed in the Canadian market and worldwide.
As a student at York University, I feel I am well-prepared to start flowing through this dynamic field. I look forward to applying what I've learned to make a great strong impact in the market of digital marketing and my own business.
