Hey everyone! I'm Soheil Amani, a Persian guy with lots of different experiences, from designing to making music and plenty of other things. I have a bachelor's degree in design from Azad University. After that, I decided to move from Iran to Canada to start a new journey and experience new things because I really enjoy diversifying my life.

The past one year of this schooling experience at York University School of Continuing Studies is one continuous flow of life change for me. As this chapter in my life comes to a close, I can be very proud of all that has been achieved and look forward with excitement to the future ahead. Choosing York University was a decision rooted in extensive research. I evaluated numerous universities, each offering unique advantages. Ultimately, I was drawn to York due to its vibrant student community, experiential education opportunities, and the affordability of the Digital Marketing program.
York University stood out for its commitment to student success and its supportive environment. This was crucial for me, as I transitioned from Iran to Canada, seeking to combine my background in design with new skills in digital marketing.

The transition was not without its problems. Studying in English, adapting to a new culture, and being far from home were significant challenges. However, these experiences have been invaluable in my personal and professional growth.

One of the most surprising aspects of my journey was how quickly I adapted. The orientation program at York was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and providing a motivational boost. Meeting other students in similar situations helped me and showed me that I was not alone.
Tips for Overcoming Challenges
To be a straight-A student requires a lot of discipline and an internal drive. There certainly is no one silver bullet to succeed in such—a compendium of small habits and constant strong work ethic. Put aside time daily for studying, maintain an extreme level of organization, and don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.
The university is the place where the irony of learning expands your horizons. Keep an open mind to learning new skills and understanding different perspectives. Engage with your peers and professors, participate in discussions, and gain from the various knowledge and experiences around you.
Organization is everything. Keep a calendar so that follow-up dates, duties, and personal commitments are at your fingertips every morning. This way, you will schedule your time in advance and set yourself up for success.
Network with your instructors, join clubs, and participate in experiential education. These links will benefit you throughout your university journey and beyond. Extracurricular activities not only fill up your resume but make a difference at university in general. Having Fun at University. Make memories, form new friendships. At the same time, these years are very specific in everyone's life, so live them to the fullest. Attend all the happening events on campus, find new interests, and take some time to wind down.

My time at York University has been a mix of challenges. Various experiences have made me a stronger, wiser person. To the prospective student, I would say, 'Enjoy this ride, but be organized about it.
York University provided a supportive environment for completion of my programs, well-established tutelage, and networking opportunities with friends and mentors alike who have contributed to me throughout. The lessons learned and the memories made will be a lifetime's company.
