As a current student, I’ve wandered through the lively campus, checked out its cool buildings, and met tons of different people. In this post, I’ll look back on my time at the place, pointing out some key moments and why it’s been such a ride. My Journey at York University Picking York University School of Continuing Studies was actually easy for me. I already had a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree and one Ontario postgraduate certificate. I needed a place that wasn’t just great in academics but also had a unique vibe. York fitted the bill perfectly. Once I set foot on the campus, I felt a sense of belonging. The vibe was friendly, and everyone from faculty to staff was super supportive. It was a place where I could grow both academically and personally. The programs here are challenging, pushing us to be our best. The curriculum is tough, yet with support from professors and peers, it’s totally doable. I’ve learned so much and grown a lot it has been amazing. Campus Life and Experiences First off, let’s chat about the campus itself. Our building? Pretty darn cool. Some folks even call it “oh, that weird building near Seneca or Schulich.” It’s funny and adds some humour to our daily lives. Entering it feels like stepping into an art gallery with lots of light and texture everywhere you look. It’s like a mini visual treat each day. One favourite hangout? York Lanes, yep, there’s a shopping mall inside the university! A mall! And you’re right: there’s even a bar where you can grab an alcoholic drink if you want one. Coming from somewhere where that would be a big parental debate? It's totally refreshing. Plus, having shops, a pharmacy, and food joints all within reach? It makes life so easy. ![Jeevant Suhag](https://app.hubspot.com/settings/avatar/a5f8dbdd7d4a0d8b88aedc2628eeb642) [Jeevant Suhag](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/jeevant-suhag) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/surviving-and-thriving-at-york-u-school-of-continuing-studies-weird-buildings-cherry-blossoms-and-everything-in-between) ![Modern angular building with geometric facade under blue sky.](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hubfs/unnamed%20(1)-1.jpg) [York University,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university) [Journey,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/journey) [Future students,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/future-students) [York University School of Continuing Studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) [Digital & Content Marketing,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/digital-content-marketing) [Study Abroad,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/study-abroad) [study abroad graduate programs](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/study-abroad-graduate-programs) ### [Overcoming Challenges: York School of Continuing Studies](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/overcoming-challenges-and-embracing-opportunities-my-york-university-scs-story) Aug 8, 2024 2:15:57 PM   [Glancy Mahendra Solanki](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/glancy-mahendra-solanki) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/overcoming-challenges-and-embracing-opportunities-my-york-university-scs-story) ![Group photo taken during the first formal presentation at York University School of Continuing Studies.](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXd9JN-JPOmByF3AJbTjZxc6wkp8gsx8-VA4mqbZuW66VZGqbR4s51VGTnYUzyWimVrhTG-gulWer3TmjSVd3O5n-ea9aH1iWqnfj5CbjKXmHD1rViNwzQo7bdzWzpMHhBPhjMXxo7o0B2J43-gIgtVTSpPr?key=YouXfOxtH9g-TqtO7PCvYg) [Higher education,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/higher-education) [York University School of Continuing Studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) [Digital & Content Marketing](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/digital-content-marketing) ### [A Voyage Through Digital Marketing at York University School of Continuing Studies.](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/a-voyage-through-digital-marketing-at-york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) Aug 7, 2024 8:01:44 PM Group photo taken during the first formal presentation at York University School of Continuing Studies. After looking over 25 universities in Canada, The one that caught my eye and mind was York University, Keele Campus. I looked up over a 20 videos about the campus online which made me feel like a place where I would fit in well. The amenities that York provides its students to enjoy in the campus made me feel like home. Which is important for any international student so that we can focus on our studies. I chose the course of Digital Marketing which matched with my previous degree of journalism and mass communication perfectly. Let me take you to my 8 months affair with York University and how this roller coaster ride impacted my professional journey as a Digital Marketer.  [Saksham behl](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/saksham-behl) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/york-university-a-campus-to-dream-about) ![Student at York University](https://46784354.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/46784354/Markham_Students-88.jpg) [international student in canada,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/international-student-in-canada) [York University,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university) [York University School of Continuing Studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) [Digital & Content Marketing](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/digital-content-marketing) ### [From Professional to Student: My Journey at York University School of Continuing Studies](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/from-professional-to-student-my-journey-at-york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) Aug 6, 2024 4:55:12 PM   ![Febin Jojo Mathews](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hs-fs/hubfs/95af3cd3-85de-4f17-92e8-647af7967071.jpg?width=45&name=95af3cd3-85de-4f17-92e8-647af7967071.jpg) [Febin Jojo Mathews](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/febin-jojo-mathews) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/from-professional-to-student-my-journey-at-york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) ![](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hubfs/School%20of%20contuning%20studies.jpg) [international student,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/international-student) [York University School of Continuing Studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) [Canadian Education System](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/canadian-education-system) ### [Life of a Student at York’s School of Continuing Studies.](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/life-of-a-student-at-yorks-school-of-continuing-studies) Aug 6, 2024 1:27:43 PM **A bit of a back story about me: ****I’m an international student studying at York University’s School of Continuing Studies pursuing my Post-Graduate in Digital & Content Marketing, I hail from Mumbai India, where I was working as a content moderator for Meta and decided that I want to pursue a career in digital marketing so applied for a course at York and got an offer letter so I packed my life in 3 suitcases and came to Canada with big dreams and high hopes **** **** ** [Navpreet Singh](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/navpreet-singh) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/life-of-a-student-at-yorks-school-of-continuing-studies) ![](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/An%20image%20of%20a%20person%20studying%20digital%20marketing%20at%20York%20University%20School%20of%20Continuing%20Studies%2c%20engaging%20with%20industry%20professionals%2c%20participating%20i.jpeg) [School of continuing studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/school-of-continuing-studies) [Digital Marketing,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/digital-marketing) [York University School of Continuing Studies,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) [Digital & Content Marketing](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/digital-content-marketing) ### [Digital Marketing Program : Learning Experience at York School of Continuing Studies (SCS)](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/digital-marketing-course-amazing-experience-at-york-school-of-continuing-studies-scs) Aug 5, 2024 7:44:38 PM **Author: P Santosh** ![P Santosh](https://app.hubspot.com/settings/avatar/d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e) [P Santosh](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/p-santosh) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/digital-marketing-course-amazing-experience-at-york-school-of-continuing-studies-scs) ![](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hubfs/WhatsApp%20Image%202024-08-05%20at%2012.59.46%20PM.jpeg) [York University,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university) [york u,](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-u) [York University School of Continuing Studies](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/tag/york-university-school-of-continuing-studies) ### [MY JOURNEY AT YORK UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF CONTINUING STUDIES](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/my-journey-at-york-university) Aug 5, 2024 4:30:00 PM   [AARUDHI NEGI](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/aarudhi-negi) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/my-journey-at-york-university) ![The image portrays York University School Of Continuing studies, modern, geometrically designed building with glass panels under a clear blue sky. I am Jouella Gonsalves, an international student from India, and I came to Toronto, Canada in 2023. While applying to colleges in Canada, I realized I didn't have anyone to give me a realistic picture of what to expect from Canadian education. So, I watched a few YouTube videos and decided to pursue a good-ranking college that offered a media course which was one of the best for an international student like me. However, it was nothing like I imagined. My first year was a struggle as I juggled a new schedule, a part-time job, college assignments, and much more. Thankfully, things have started to look upward this year. So, let me give you a realistic picture of what to expect when studying at York's School of Continuing Studies to help guide your decision-making if you're considering enrolling here.** ** ![Jouella Gonsalves](https://21020222.hs-sites.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Jouella%20Gonsalves.jpeg?quality=high&width=45&name=Jouella%20Gonsalves.jpeg) [Jouella Gonsalves](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/author/jouella-gonsalves) [Read More](http://21020222.hs-sites.com/wellness/is-york-school-of-continuing-studies-the-right-choice-for-you) Select Category 1.
