York University School of Continuing Studies was a great place to personally embark on my return back into the world. I have since graduated with two post-graduate certificates - one in Advanced Professional Accounting and another in Digital & Content Marketing, over the last two years. I learned different skills and gained exposure to varied aspects of businesses through each program, which proved both professionally beneficial and personally enriching. So how did these programs shape my career, and what were my experiences in it?

Hey guys, I hope you all are doing well! I'm writing this blog just a month before finishing my studies. Moving from India to Canada felt like a rollercoaster ride. I'm from Delhi, India, and leaving home after 24 years was quite difficult for me. I missed my family, friends, colleagues, and everyone else.

Have you ever had the feeling that there was a never-ending pattern in your life? That's exactly, where I was last year, stuck in a continuous cycle of work and home without learning anything new in my professional life. It was obvious that I needed a bold change—something really drastic—to shake me out of this downward spiral. I therefore made the bold decision to return to school. But not just any school would do, I wanted to attend one where I would gain practical knowledge in addition to theoretical knowledge. Thus, prepared to explore a world of endless opportunities and new beginnings, I selected York University's School of Continuing Studies.

Starting My Journey

Leaving my family and moving to a new country was a daunting yet exciting decision. As an international student, I began my journey in Canada, initially studying international business management at Centennial College. The experience was enriching, yet I soon realized my passion lay in marketing. Driven by this newfound interest, I sought to expand my knowledge in this field, aiming to build a career that combined my business acumen with my creative interests.
