A bit of a back story about me:
I’m an international student studying at York University’s School of Continuing Studies pursuing my Post-Graduate in Digital & Content Marketing, I hail from Mumbai India, where I was working as a content moderator for Meta and decided that I want to pursue a career in digital marketing so applied for a course at York and got an offer letter so I packed my life in 3 suitcases and came to Canada with big dreams and high hopes

Introduction

The journey to York University was far from smooth. From the struggle of securing a spot in my desired program to navigating the complexities of immigration, each step was a test of resilience and determination. My ultimate goal was to join York University, a well-reputed institution that promised to enhance my skills and open new doors for my future. Despite the setbacks, delays, and difficult choices, my resolve to reach York never wavered. This blog shares the story of how my experiences, both challenging and rewarding, shaped my path and transformed my professional and personal life.

I never thought about going to York University in the first place, but I guess you can’t control where life takes you, things happened and here I am as an International student with a post-graduate certificate in Digital and content marketing. My experience as a student at York University School of Continuing Studies has been a roller coaster ride and life-changing. I have learned a lot, and my knowledge has increased massively with real-life practical skills, which are a crucial part of success in today’s job market. I always wondered how it would be to become an international student. I always envied my friends who decided to go abroad as international students to complete their studies and I felt jealous when they explained their experiences. I was in India at that time wondering, “Will I ever get a chance to go and study abroad?”
